Code 6 is a band that has been together as a unit for 1 yr now. They have collectively chosen a path for their brand and style of music which differs from the chain of music competition on the market today. In general, the style they champion is thrash/ hardcore/ metal. The unique blend of music this quintet plays stems from the diversity of their influences. Topics of creative lyrical content suggest more than just the average world, political and religious issues. Code 6 has played New York venues both large and small with a good amount of success. The formula calls for bringing in new fans while keeping a hold on their older die hard fans. A Code 6 show is an experience. The fans come first in the eyes of Code 6… in fact the fans are part of the family. This is evident in the memorable displays of crowd participation and enthusiastic good times that exemplify C6 shows. The future of this band is a very promising one with the fact that there is no shortage of material when it comes to music composition. A self produced band with their own rehearsal and recording facility keep Code 6 on their toes. While their music is fresh and up to date with current music, it is clearly a departure from the tired formula of following the current trend. Being able to record and rehearse at will enables them to take the time to perfect their products and stay true to the raw uncovered Code 6 sound. That being said, Code 6 is careful to make sure that what the listener hears on the record is what they hear at a live show. This is not a band that tries to fool its fans with studio tricks.
